Long time did not update my blog.... Here are some photos taken when I visited South Korea to see someone. This time manage to visit some places like Tongyeong, where can go up the mountain with cablecar and hike to see the temple in the 'jungle', at Samseong po eating shashimi for lunch and hunt for more shashimi at the fish market, outing to Jinyongho Zoo with his friends and visited the Busan Tower to have a great view of the Busan city and its port.

At this time of the year, I am going to see someone special to me and this time it will be about 2 weeks to be with him...... Really need to have more quality time...
Will update when I get back. Hopefully this time can visit some of the tourist spots.

North Vietnam

This time I got the free ticket to Hanoi, it was a 6 days 5 nights trip. Overall it is very exciting and fun. But the air in Hanoi is very polluted.

On the first day I arrived in Hanoi, I went to the Hoan Kiem Lake, located at the Old Quarters and later went for the water puppet show. Too bad that the puppet show is in Vietnamase. At the Old Quarters, it is a nice place for shopping but need to bargain hard for best price.

The next day I travel Northeast to Halong Bay the UNESCO heritage. It was very foggy when the time I reach there. Although it was foggy but it do has the beauty of it.

After Halong Bay, I went back to Hanoi and took the night train to Lao Cai, boarder to Yunnan, China. In the early morning went to Sapa. Sapa is located at the Northwest of Vietnam. That was the best part of my whole trip. In Sapa there are many minority ethnic like Black Hmong, Red Dzao, Dzay etc. To see the life style of those minority ethnic is treaking to their villages. The weather during this time is very cooling so it is very nice to treak for about 3-4 hours without feeling tired. For the two days that I spent in Sapa, I went to Cat Cat, Lao Chai and Ta Van. In Ta Van village they do provide homestay for those who want to have the experience of a village life for the Dzao minority ethnic. Other than these 3 villages, there are many other villages, just that time do not allowed me to trek around those villages. Hope that one day can go back and trek all the villages around Sapa and explore the Northwest Vietnam, where most of the minority ethnic located, like White Thai, Black Thai, Flower Hmong, Strip Hmong, Black Homng, Red Dzao, Dzay etc......

Anyway this time I manage to grab that 'free ticket' again ----> to Hanoi. Now i'm really looking forward for this trip.

New Year............

This year is very special to me, as it was begin in Borobudur & Dieng Plateau, Jave, Indonesia. First time celebrating New Year out of Malaysia, with a total different celebration, a slience celebration and full of traditional dances. This time I went to Solo, Java, Indonesia again with my family. The travelling itenery was slightly different from my previous one, but the main attraction ---- Candi Borobudur is a must!

For this time, I stay in Hotel Manohara for 3D2N, then move to Dieng Plateau; which is a nice and cool place to visit, as the famous tourist spot are Telaga Warna, Kawah Sikidang, Kompleks Ajunan.... These can cover in 2 hours. But we spend there for about 3 hours. Later move down back to Wonobusno and then to Jogja.

In Jogja, spend about 4D3N there, visited Kraton (Palace of Jogja) then headed to Taman Sari and later to Gemuk pasir. The most disappointed one is gemuk pasir CHEATED by the pamplet. The pamplet show it like in desert but in reality its SUCKS!!!! Overall I'm very happy with the trip especially the Dieng Plateau....... nice view, cool weather.

Winter time in Jinju

Its great to be back to South Korea again, as this time its early winter season, no..... snow there but the weather is like about 15 degree C day time and i think nearly 10 degree C at night...... As I know the white winter come later, like in middle December or might be in Jan depands on the weather.. All I can said it's nice to see and feel different season other than rain and shine in Malaysia

Deepavali coming soon

Will be going to meet him soon........ hehehe as the Deepavali holiday is at the corner and I have a long holiday as my work place will be close from Wed till Sun..... with such a long off, nothing to do and at last can go to visit him again as both of us agree on that.....cant wait for that day to come..... But the weather has change from warm to cold as now is winter time in Korea. Temperature at day is like 20 degree and night will go down to like less than 10 degree.

Jinju, Korea Trip

I spend my whole week of the mooncake festival (23-29 Sept) in Jinju Korea, the purpose to go there is to meet someone special...hehehehe.... Its a nice place to visit, although it is not as great as Seoul, but I like the environment there -----> a small town, peaceful town.

The weather in Korea is not as cold as I excepted, it is around 27 degree C in daylight and about 19 degree C in the night time. I have a wonderful time there..... manage to see the beautiful Jinju Fortess during the Japaness invasion, some sightseeing at the nearby area and fishing whole afternoon till night and manage to caught some fish. The night view at the Jinju Fortess is very beautiful.

The food there is mainly korean food, every meal will have kimchi as the main dish, which I hate most. As before I left Korea, I manage to see the night view of Busan, and the beautiful bridge there. I love the night view in Korea. I hope can return there next time.

31st Convocation in UPM

That morning it started to rainning ..... luckly it stopped when the whole morning ceremony ended...... Manage to meet up with Cheong, Joo Ling and Sohail....Just took some picture with my family and celebrate near the hotel...... Sunday morning went back to UPM to take the photo which cost RM50 and turn out ugly.... hai...... and suppose to open the counter at 9am, delay half an hour..... sien...... luckly the counter to return the jubah open early and manage to get my certificate...... It's a tiring convocation for me, but I'm happy because a new family member joined us by for the BIG day.....

Collection of Graduation Robe

On last Saturday, went down to UPM to collect my graduation robe. Luckly not many people at the School of Graduate studies' counter. Manage to get my robe in less than 10 mins. After that went to 1U with my parents, long time didn't go to 1U liao.......So happen they have the animax fashin ability at the north court..... I went to get a temporary tatoo... hehehe which I want to have tatoo for such a long time but dont have the gut to tatoo it. Since its free, just have the airbrush one, better than nothing... hahaha........

The Pos Malaysia, really becoming SNAIL mail...... I received my letter on 18 Aug after I came back from my trip to K.L. Luckly I check at UPM's website, if not I'll miss that Saturday for me to collect my graduation robe.

Convocation on 25 Aug

At last, my PhD convocation will be on 25 Aug in the 1st session.... This time I have additional new family member to join me ---------> my cute niece... hehehe. Now she is about 10 months old and love to play and baby talk....

Solo, Jogja, Borobudur, Indonesia

Just came back from my vacation from Indonesia...... .....I got the free ticket from AirAsia, during that time all the popular places had been fully book, lack of choices I had chose Solo....... At least I'm not regret with my choice. It's a nice place to go, but not in Solo, as it has nothing much to do. But in Borobudur, the Candi Borobudur is magnificent...... Nice Buddhist temple, I think it's the largest in South East Asia.
It is a place must go and see.

Other than Borobudur, another place must see is Prambanan, a Hindu temple....... largest in Indonesia. Both places are listed in the UNESCO World Heritage. It is a waste that I cannot go inside the Candi Prambanan due to the recent earthquake that had made it unsafe to go inside. Overall the whole trip was worth it and I do enjoy it very much......
